A triple dose of good news

Who doesn’t love good news?  Got some for ya.  First of all, SinfulColors has graciously begun providing me with media samples so I can show you more of their polishes than I already do.

Secondly, I have some of their brand new colors to show you this coming week, with one debuting today even though I don’t normally post on Sundays.  I just couldn’t wait!

Thirdly — and this is always good news on my radar — Walgreens is starting one of its 99-cent SinfulColors sales today.  Yep, the polishes are usually a budget-friendly $1.99 anyway for a full-sized 0.5 oz/15 mL bottle, but at 99 cents (with Walgreens member card, no charge for enrolling), you better believe I stock up.

The other day I posted the news release about a big collection from SinfulColors called Street Fusion.  The promo picture of the polishes is so pretty, but I realized that six of the colors are not shown but are described in the text:

  • Cherry Blossom
  • Fuji Fiji (say that ten times fast!)
  • Keira Blu
  • Otaku Anime
  • Pink Ansen
  • Sky Tree

I have Cherry Blossom to show off today and will have the gorgeous Keira Blu and Sky Tree as well, plus others.

Cherry Blossom is a petal pink fleck/shimmer.  I thought it might be quite sheer but it’s not and I could almost get away with two coats but I used three.  It applied well although I did notice a bit of shrinkage from my nail tips on the first coat, so I wrapped the tips (extended the polish along the ends of my fingernails and a little underneath).  It dried very shiny.

Under indirect bright outdoor light and with the flash:

I love Cherry Blossom.  It’s a bright pink but not a bubblegum or Barbie shade, and it’s neutral enough — not orange- or purple-toned — that I think it would look great on a variety of skin tones.

If you’re new to SinfulColors, the polish is inexpensive yet of very good quality; it’s my favorite ultra-budget brand.  And I’m not the only one who thinks so.  Read about a news item here that took the polish world by storm.

Now, get to that Walgreens sale!  (Hint:  The new Keira Blu?  If you love shimmery blue polish, you want it.)

  1. Cherry Blossom is pretty. I wore it all week. I can’t tell you the last time I wore pink polish but this one has such pretty shimmery sparkles that I had to. I love your pics of it they clearly show the shimmer on your nails and not just in the bottle. I love it when a polish looks as pretty on as it looks in the bottle. Yay for sales! I know where I am going tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.

    • Thanks for the comment! Yes, isn’t it beautiful? It’s a bit different than so many of my pink polishes. Even though I got some free samples I’m definitely buying more SC in the sale. They also make such great gifts, party favors, etc.
