A Dazzling Dance of a top coat

Yesterday I told you how online retailer Beyond Polish is now Sleek Nail.  Sleek Nail certainly has gone “beyond polish” because they now carry makeup and spa items in additon to polishes such as China Glaze, OPI, Essie, CND Vinylux, Jessica, and Color Club.

Today I have a sheer top coat from CND Vinylux to show you called Dazzling Dance.  Although it’s very sheer it has a lot going on:  it’s a light blue/purple duochrome and also has tiny holographic glitter.  Wow.

You could wear it on its own for a hint of color and sparkle or you could put it over another polish.  Here I have four coats of Dazzling Dance on my little and ring fingers, and two coats of it over an opaque white.  Don’t think white was the best choice and I now think it would look much more interesting over, say, black or a darker blue or purple or even a dark pink.  It applied well and dried quickly.

What a fun top coat or sheer polish for winter.  It reminds me a bit of Butter London’s Barkers, as far as its duochrome look, but Barkers is opaque, darker, and more green than blue.

Sleek Nail has Dazzling Dance for $5.00 and it’s fun to look around at other colors if you’re planning to place an order.  In October 2013 I tried my first CND Vinylux polish, also from Beyond Polish, an opaque shimmer called Pretty Poison.  It’s an unusual color that ended up being one of my favorite greens ever.

As I mentioned yesterday, Sleek Nail has a deal especially for readers of The Silver Nail.  Use code SILVERNAIL10 to get 10% off your first order when you create an account.  Sleek Nail is having a pre-Christmas sale of 12% off right now when you use the code 12DAYXMAS from December 13-24.  So you could save slightly more with the second code, but if you want to wait until after Christmas for whatever reason, then the special SILVERNAIL10 code is usable.  Codes cannot be combined.
