I’ve referenced the upcoming six-polish set from China Glaze called Texture several times, here and here, and now it appears the polishes are out in Singapore. Why does Singapore always seem to get the newest polishes first, something to do with the International Date Line???
At any rate, bloggers The Little Butterfly Diary and The Subtle Shimmer have swatches. Please check out their blogs since it would be wrong of me to post their photos.
Their pictures and write-ups are excellent and I thank them, but… personally? I’m not feeling these polishes. They look like dusty, lumpy children’s craft paint to me. They don’t have any glitter, like OPI’s Mariah Carey Sand polishes which I liked quite a bit, and they don’t have any sparkle, like Zoya’s new Pixie Dust Collection. By the way, I hope to receive my Pixie Dust sampler for swatches and review soon; it’s on backorder.
I probably won’t be addressing this China Glaze set again as I have no interest in it, but if you’re interested in the colors and texture, it should be appearing in stores in the U.S. in a couple of weeks.
I am with you on this one – not into the lumpy, gritty look. I work hard to get a nice smooth nail finish – if I wanted this look, I would just dump some sand into my polish! This is so not what I want and don’t get how come this look is hitting so huge with so many companies!
I like the OPI and Zoya ones but not these.
Agreed–the CG polishes look like Play-Doh. Not for my nails, thanks. I am looking forward to Zoya’s, though–the bit of sparkle seems to make all the difference.
Play-Doh, that’s it!! I knew it reminded me of something and I couldn’t put my finger on it (no pun intended).
