In case you missed my playing around on Facebook with my 24-bottle Earth Day half-price haul from Zoya, here’s what I posted:
By the way, here’s a “road map” to my colors above: The letter Z has, starting in the upper left: Gilda, Kristen, Noel, Milla, Evangeline, and Mimi. The letter O has, starting in the upper left and going clockwise: Lisa, Charla, Moxie, Creamy, Alegra, and Carey. The letter Y has Blyss and Skylar on the left branch, Dita (red) and Gloria on the right branch, and Nidhi on the bottom. The letter A has Divincia (dark red), Ivanka, and Gweneth on the left branch, Yummy (blue), Elke, and Sarah on the right branch, and Harley in the middle.
Blyss looks more purple in the bottle than it does on the nail. It’s a bright fuchsia pink with shimmer that flashes hot pink, blue, and purple. Zoya’s web site describes it this way: “Bright deep pink-leaning magenta with subtle blue-purple duochrome and faint iridescent shimmer. A fun, bold pink for a flirty look.” It’s definitely bold, and I love it!
Application was good although the first coat was thin and streaky. The second coat looked fine but I added a third coat for a little deeper color. It dried very glossy, and this is how it looked in reflected outdoor light with no top coat:
Isn’t this a great color for spring or summer? I had a hard time getting a good picture of it with the flash or outdoors in direct sunlight for some reason, but here they are anyway, indoors with the flash and then outside in the sun:
Here’s a closeup so you can better see the shimmer:
This is such a fun color I keep staring at my hands, and I don’t have another polish just like it. I thought it was going to be a little more purple but I like it just the way it is!
Which color from my Earth Day order would you like me to swatch next?
